Mousam 2010/2011

Report

11/27.2011

Tim got two on streamers. Tide was low. Temps were mild. See video.

Fished twice in February (2/13 & 2/23).  Didn’t see a fish.

This brown fell for a prince on Sunday (1/9/11). It was 32F.

This rainbow also fell for the prince. There were five trout between the two of us, two rainbows and three browns, all smaller than last time. 12-13″.

I will never turn up my nose at the Mousam again.  Tim Broadrick is a genius! Good news?  We can fish all year long.  Bad news? We could have been doing this within 60 minutes of the house for the past 10+ Winters.  We’ll just have to make up for lost time. (12/29/10)

Most of the Browns were 14″.  The State stocked 1200 of them between the dam and the ocean back in October. They took nymphs mostly: scuds, princes, pheasant tails, copper johns etc.

The rainbows were probably stocked more recently. Check the tail out on this one. The rainbows were drab colored, nothing like the browns. But, they were a little bit bigger.

Tim bought himself a toy for Christmas. He used it to take this brown’s head shot under water.

We caught the first three fish in an hour. Bill couldn’t make it. Eat your heart out Bill.

Winter fishing just heated up.

Much shorter drive than the Deerfield.

Charlie Brown: Oh brother. When are you going to stop believing in something that isn’t true?

Linus: When YOU stop believing in that fat guy in a red suit and the white beard who goes, “Ho, ho, ho!”
